Gary
Marchant, J.D., Ph.D.,
is an Associate Professor of Law at Arizona State University where he
also serves as the Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Law,
Science, and Technology. Prior to joining the ASU faculty in 1999, he
was a partner at the Washington, D.C. office of the law firm of Kirkland
& Ellis, where his practice focused on environmental and administrative
law. Professor Marchant's research and teaching interests include environmental
law, risk analysis, genetics and the law, and law, science and technology.
He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1990, a Master's
in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard in 1990,
and his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of British Columbia in 1986.
